We had ALL the Homme kiddos line up to show us their numbers- that's a lot of Homme's for one little school. AWESOME!

We miss our good friends the Tebbens!!!! We missed taking our picture with them by the lockers - with our numbers proudly displayed! We did take one on our recent trip to Oklahoma- see how cute they all are in their uniforms- Lauren and Allison in their cute Crossings Christian uniforms and our kiddos sporting the Schaeffer colors. The first day wasn't the same without them!
Elizabeth's first day of 8th grade
So happy to finally chat with friends and see her favorite teachers again. She loves school! We had to track her down in homeroom to snap a picture ;0)- that's our social Liz. However after a full day of reading syllabus after syllabus she is ready to learn something new.
Emily's first day of 7th grade
Emily came home confident and excited for 7th grade. She found all her classes and got to have band AND choir today. Mrs. Holmes said she was a soprano- which made her beam! She also wants to join Jazz band and honors choir etc. etc.-- A successful 1st day!
Justin's first day of 4th grade
All grown up and ready for 4th grade! Oh my! He had an awesome day and thinks his teacher Mrs. Quam is super nice.
First Day of School 2011
The kids were very excited to start back to school today!! There were a few butterflies in the tummies though. . . Ashley wondered if she would remember everything she learned in Kindergarten and if she was ready for 1st grade (she was born ready!!). Justin wondered if he would be up for the challenge of 4th grade (mommy wonders if she is up to it too!!- projects, homework, homework, more projects!). Emily had some anxiety when she realized she had forgotten her color coded schedule at home (how would she remember which class to go to next???- mom and dad to the rescue with a spare). Elizabeth- well - no butterflies there! she acted like she owned the place and was just happy to finally be back at her home away from home - and with a bunch of friends :0).
